Lixil Corporation (Japan) will operate a 450 million USD factory in Dong Nai.

Lixil – the Japanese largest construction materials corporation commits to start the 450 million USD project this year in Dong Nai.
Mr. Morita Nguyen, Sales Manager of Inax Vietnam – the company that has stakes in Lixil – endorse the content on the Saigon Economic Times Online on July 18th. “At the end of this year, we will begin to build factories and it is expected to be completed in about 3-5 years.”

Inax Corporation, along with four other Japanese corporations which are Tostem Corporation, Shin Nikkei Co., Ltd, Toyo Exterior Co., Ltd and Sunwave corporation are consolidated to form Lixil corporation.

Last April, Lixil corporation received permission from Dong Nai provincial people’s committee to invest in building a factory produce building materials such as aluminum, office equipment, home and furniture.

Mr. Morita said that Lixil’s board of director is committed to building the plant on schedule despite Vietnam’s economy is still difficult. “We believe in the market with huge potential in the Asian region, including Vietnam.”

He said that Dong Nai province was selected to build the plant after the survey conducted by Lixil Corporation over 3 years ago in many countries in the region.

He added that due to the flood in Thailand last year, Lixil corporation made the final decision to put the plant in Vietnam.

He said that Inax corporation has built nine plants with a total of 100 million USD investment capital in Vietnam.

Accordingly, Lixil will build a factory in the area of ​​55 hectares in Long Duc Industrial Zone, Long Thanh District of Dong Nai Province.
