Vietnamese entrepreneur in the list of outstanding CEO in Asia
The Journal of Corporate Governance in Asia – based in Hong Kong has just brought Mrs. Mai Kieu Lien to the list of CEO that awarded “Excellent CEO of Asia in the field of investor relations”.
This award was given to her in the recognition of the long-term commitment to the development of corporate governance in the areas of investor relations, active community responsibility, business ethics, environmental responsibility and financial performance of the business in the region.
This is the 2nd time Mrs. Mai Kieu Lien was honored by the Corporate Governance Asia magazine. In May 2012, the magazine voted her as one of the best business leaders in Asia in the field of corporate governance.
Earlier, in March 2012, the U.S. magazine Forbes voted this Vinamilk CEO to the list of Asia’s most powerful business woman.
Mrs. Mai Kieu Lien is Chairman and CEO of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk).
In 2012, Vinamilk has achieved revenue of more than 27,300 billion VND, of which export turnover reached 180 million USD, paid to the state budget more than 2,900 billion VND. The 2012 is also the year that sales volume of Vinamilk achieved the highest ever, with over 4 billion products. Vinamilk has a milk factory in New Zealand and 11 domestic manufacturing plants. Its goal is to join the list of the world’s 50 largest dairy companies in 2017.
