1) Company 1:

Overview

Founded year: 1969, being capitalized in 2004, listed since 2011

Company type: joint stock/public – listed

Business main operations: roasted coffee, instant coffee, and nutritional cereals.

Location: South

Operations

Product categories: 4 main categories, which are: roasted coffee, pure instant coffee (02 main types Arabica and Robusta) , milk coffee and nutrious cereals. Milk instant coffee is the most favoured product line. Ginseng coffee 4 in 1 is exported to and interested in foreign market such as China and Korea.

Raw materials: coffee beans (Arabica and Robusta) are collected from coffee growing areas in Vietnam such as Dak lak, Son La, Lam Dong. Cream is imported from Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia to ensure high quality of its products.

Production capacity:  02 manufactures with production capacity of  1.200 ton/year , 01 manufacture is in building progress with its productivity of 3.200 ton/year

Brand name and trade marks: One of the top national brands in coffee sectors with brand name being built for more than 40 years in Vietnam. It receive “High Quality Award” in 14 consecutive years since 2007. Its international trademark has been registered in 70 countries under Madrid Agreements such as USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, etc.

Future prospect: High in growing prospective because of the rising in demand for nutritional cereals, roasted coffee, instant coffee.

Distribution networks: nation-wide with distribution networks  covering 63 provinces in Vietnam through both agents and distributors. The company has the biggest market share in Vietnam in terms of coffee products.

2) Company 2

Overview

Founded year: 2004(private company), listed since 2008.

Company type: joint stock/public – listed

Business main operations:  selling and purchasing, importing and exporting Coffee; plastic products, wood products.

Location: South

Chartered capital: USD 4.15 mn

Operations

Purchase: raw coffee bean and processed coffee with types such as R1/18; R1/16; R2, 5%, other agricultural products such as peppercorn, chestnut.

Sell: high-quality processed coffee, wet polished coffee, Nestle standardized coffee, agricultural products such as peppercorn, chestnut.

Production capacity: The company has a huge and modern Robusta coffee-processing plant with production capacity of 60.000 ton/year, producing 300 to 700 tons of in-stock coffee/day (about 15-35 trucks) Capacity of 300 to 500 tons of out-stock coffee/day (about 15-25 trucks)

It is a financially independent son-company of   one of Viet Nam biggest coffee groups. This group has a famous brand in domestic and foreign coffee markets with system of branches in many coffee raw material supplying provinces.

Has accounts for 5% over coffee exports of Vietnam.

Distribution channel: Company is inherited traditional customers and the distribution networks of its Parent company.

International trademark has been registered in Switzerland. Its products are exported to over 20 countries such as Europe, Japan, Germany, USA, etc.

3) Company 3

Overview

Founded year: 1996 (private company), listed since 2008

Company type: joint stock/public – listed

Business main operations: Producing, manufacturing, selling and purchasing, importing and exporting coffee via its subsidiary companies.

Location: North

Chartered capital: USD 27.50 mn

Operations

Organization Structure: operating under Parent-Sons model including 11 companies it owns over 50%.

The company has traditional raw- material area over 900 hecta (2009) in Vietnam and is growing another 3000 hecta material area in Laos. It has processing subsidiaries over such above material areas.

Production capacity: Having 12 modern coffee processing manufactures with production capacity of  500.000 ton/year; of which are 03 manufactures with two-period processing procedure (wet-dry processing) in Vietnam.

One of the top national brands in coffee sectors.

Distribution networks: Nation-wide distribution networks.

International market: over 50 countries with main export Market such as  China (17%), Belgium (7%), Spain (7%), Japan (5%), France(5%).
